Unity With Nature Meditations: Online the 3rd Thursday evening of the month
The intention – or guiding theme – of these meditations is to nurture within each of us our kinship with each other and all that we share in this life: the care of our planet, the bond of our human family, the deep and restorative nature of loving kindness and compassionate witness in the service of peace. Unity With Nature Writing Workshop: May 17, September 20, October 18, November 22
In collaboration with Goose Creek Meeting of Friends (the Quakers), Skylark Yoga is facilitating a nature writing workshop. Each session offers a unique writing prompt related to nature as a multi-dimensional experience of body, mind, and spirit. Time is given for writing, sharing first drafts, and experimenting with collaborative writing projects. Writing prompts are also given to participants to explore between sessions. Essential Yoga: Creating a Personal Practice
The most valuable yoga practices are the ones you can do regularly and safely, on your own, when yoga class is not in session. Work with experienced Viniyoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist Liz Huntington to create your own unique practice tailored to your personal needs and desires. We meet over 8 consecutive 1-hour sessions, either online or, if possible, in person. Please contact Liz to discuss your interests and a schedule. Suggested donation: $120 – $240. Introduction to iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation: Online September 7, 14, 21 and 28
iRest® brings the remarkable depth of ancient tradition of yoga nidra meditation to the 21st century in a form that is fresh and easily adapted to serve the interests and needs of modern practitioners. No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required to enjoy and benefit from this transformative practice. Through a series of 4 one-hour guided meditation sessions, each participant will learn the essential process of the iRest® method and receive individual guidance in creating their own personal iRest® meditation form. Dates – Hours 4 consecutive Sunday afternoons, 4 – 5 pm ET, Sept 7 – 28. Suggested donation: $80 – $120. Class size limited to 4.
The Breath of Life: Introduction to Pranayama: Online November 1, 8, 15 and 29
In the yogic practice of Pranayama, the principal focus is on steadying the mind and energizing the body through controlling the breathing process in specific ways. Simple pranayama practices are safe, easy to learn, and prove to be significant help in clarifying thoughts and emotions, calming stress, and preparing for a deeper and more expansive experiences in meditation and prayer. Prior experience with yoga is not required. Dates – Hours: 4 consecutive Saturday mornings 8:30 – 9:30 am ET, Nov. 6 -26. Suggested donation: $60 – $100. Class size limited to 6.

Finding and Keeping Your Balance
Learn yoga to support and improve healthy balance in your life, literally from the soles of your feet to the quality of your thought. In this class you will learn ways to improve stability and steadiness in walking and movement, prepare for more restful and nourishing sleep, and improve mental and emotional clarity. Suggested donation: $60 – $100. Class size limited to 10.
Yoga for Better Bone Health
This short series of classes teaches gentle and effective yoga practices that help maintain and build healthy bone as well as practical tips for building strength, balance, and resilience in the body at every age. Practices taught in this series are safe and effective for seniors and anyone with a current diagnosis of Osteopenia/Osteoporosis. No prior experience with yoga required. Suggested donation: $60 -$100. Class size is limited to 10.
Calm Body Calm Mind Evening Meditations
A series of short meditation practices to prepare body and mind for restful, restorative sleep. No prior yoga experience required. Suggested donation: $40 – $80. Class size limited to 6.
